2026 IP Ddideum (Stepping Stone) Program – Call for Participants

**Idea Basic Counseling** – IP trouble-shooting and idea discovery consultation (open to all). **IP-based Startup Education** – Free 4-day (32-hour) training on entrepreneurship, IP strategy, business model design, and business plan writing across three cohorts (53rd: Chuncheon, 54th: Gangneung, 55th: Wonju). Completion waiver (80% attendance) exempts the 20% self-pay share for idea rights acquisition and 3D model design. **Idea Rights Acquisition** – Prior-art search consulting and patent application support through partner patent firms (government 80% + self-pay 20%; self-pay waived for IP education graduates). Patent office official fees are not covered and are the recipient's own expense. Up to 3 patents supported if a patent network is deemed necessary. **3D Model Design** – Idea visualization consulting, 3D modeling and model printing support (for idea rights recipients). **Startup Consulting** – Expert consulting on commercialization and linkage to other agency programs (for rights recipients or education graduates). **Follow-up Support for Founders** – Support for domestic patent network filing, PCT filings, brand/design development for those who registered a business after receiving idea rights support. Self-pay 20% cash share is NOT waivable here. Total up to KRW 20 million per company (excluding self-pay). Support is available for up to 2 years from the year of rights acquisition.

Target: Pre-founders (not yet registered as a business) residing in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, and 2026 new founders. Non-residents are exceptionally eligible if they (1) completed Gangwon IP Center's IP-based startup education, (2) are enrolled at a school located in Gangwon (submit enrollment certificate), (3) are a 2026 new founder whose business registration address is in Gangwon (submit business registration certificate), (4) are planning to re-start after closure by adding/changing business types, or (5) are representative of a business that solely operates real estate rental without any employees (multiple business types disqualified).
