Eligible entities: SMEs (under the Framework Act on SMEs) that are either (a) startup companies with 7 years or less since business commencement as of the original recruitment notice date, or (b) companies with a corporate research institute or R&D department recognized by the Korea Industrial Technology Association (regardless of company age). The business must operate in a permitted industry under the Dongtan Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex Master Plan (high-tech manufacturing: printing, pharmaceuticals, metal processing, electronics, medical/precision/optical instruments, electrical equipment, machinery, automobiles/transport; knowledge/culture services: publishing, video/broadcasting, postal/telecom, computer programming/IT services, R&D, professional services, engineering, education, creative/arts/leisure services). Businesses that emit hazardous air pollutants, water pollutants, specified waste, or excessive noise/vibration are prohibited. Both individual business owners (sole proprietors) and incorporated businesses may apply. Tenants must also execute a separate industrial complex occupancy agreement with Hwaseong City Corporation within 10 days of signing the lease.
