Startup Korea Special Visa: Application for Recommendations

A special visa (D-8-4(S)) for startups, allowing entry and business activities in Korea based on an evaluation of the startup's feasibility and innovativeness.

Representative of a (prospective) startup who is not a Korean national, with the startup meeting criteria under the Support for Small and Medium Enterprise Establishment Act.

“2 신청자격 및 제외 대상□ 신청자격(아래의 요건을 모두 충족해야 함)◦(예비)창업기업의 대표자로서 대한민국 국적을 가지지 않은 자-원칙적으로 (예비)창업기업의 대표자 1명만 신청 가능-공동대표의 경우 아래의 요건 중 하나를 충족하면 3명까지 신청할수 있으며,추천 신청서는 공동대표자 모두 각각 제출하여야 함1. 제출한 사업계획서와 동일한 사업을 1년 이상 영위한 법인사업자로서, 법인등록증에 공동대표자가 명시되어 있는 경우2. 중기부 K-스카우터의 추천을 받아 지원 대상으로 선정된 기업으로서, K-스카우터로부터 해당 기업의 공동대표자임을 확인하는 문서를 제출한 경우◦(예비)창업기업이「중소기업창업 지원법」의 지원대상에 해당할 것-신청일을 기준으로 창업 후 7년 이내의 기업(신산업 분야는 10년이내 :참고 1)-신산업 창업 또는 기술 창업에 해당할 것(예시 :일반적인 무역업,유통업,음식업 등은 미해당)□ 신청 제외 대상①「중소기업창업 지원법」시행령 제4조(창업에서 제외되는 업종)의업종을 영위하고 있거나 영위하고자 하는 자1. 일반유흥주점업2. 무도유흥주점업 3. 기타 사행시설 관리 및 운영업4. 그 밖에 1~3에 준하는 업종으로서 중소벤처기업부령으로 정하는 업종”
