(1) Veterans (or those scheduled to be discharged) who served as mid-/long-term career soldiers for 5 years or more; (2) Mandatory-service veterans who, within 3 years of discharge, served as job-matched special-skills soldiers, low-income / exemplary soldiers, or grade-failing light-injury soldiers.
