How OASIS leads to the D-8-4 visa
- 1Earn OASIS points. Complete OASIS courses, mentoring, incubation or IP items to accumulate points.
- 2D-10-2 (Start-up prep). Use your OASIS certificate to get the start-up preparation visa and build your venture.
- 3D-8-4 (Start-up visa). Reach the points threshold with a prerequisite item to qualify for the founder visa.

Basic Intellectual Property Course
Understanding Korean society and an introduction to the intellectual-property system. ~12 hours over 2 weeks, 80% attendance.
Global Start-up Immigration Center / KIPA
Advanced Intellectual Property Course
Patent litigation and writing invention declarations. ~20 hours over 2 weeks, 80% attendance.
Global Start-up Immigration Center / KIPA
Intellectual Property Application Support
Financial support for securing IP rights — application and agent fees. Support only (no points); once per person.
KIPA (Korea Invention Promotion Association)
Basic Start-up Class
Business management, the tax system, and investor presentations. ~20 hours over 3 weeks, 80% attendance. Taught in English.

Start-up Coaching & Mentoring
One-on-one coaching from a start-up immigration mentor. Minimum 6 hours (3 sessions) for points.

Invention / Start-up Exhibition
Showcase your invention to investors; identifies outstanding, inventive start-up items.

Graduation from Start-up Incubation
Complete a government-supported incubation residency (six-month minimum) with dedicated workspace.
