Terms of Service

Last updated 4 August 2026. By creating an account or using eaststartup.com you agree to these terms.

1. What EastStartup is

EastStartup is an information and drafting tool for founders building from Korea. It aggregates publicly announced Korean government support programmes, calculates indicative D-8-4 startup visa points, and helps you draft business plan material.

It is not a law firm, immigration agency, accountancy, or investment adviser, and nothing on it is legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any Korean government body.

2. Accuracy, and why you must verify

Programme data is collected automatically from official Korean notices and is often machine-translated. Deadlines change, rounds close early, and eligibility rules are interpreted by the agency, not by us. Visa point scores are our reading of the published matrix and are indicative only — the Ministry of Justice decides your actual outcome.

Always confirm requirements and deadlines with the responsible agency before you apply, spend money, or make an immigration decision.

3. Your account

You must be at least 19 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and give accurate registration information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. One person, one account; do not share credentials. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

4. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you enter or upload. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, process it to produce the outputs you request, and transmit it to the processors listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your content to train general-purpose AI models, and we do not publish it.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for not submitting other people's confidential information without permission.

5. Generated drafts

Business plans, validations, and translations are produced with automated assistance and may contain errors, outdated figures, or statements that read as confident but are wrong. They are drafts for you to check, edit, and take responsibility for. Do not submit generated text to a government body, investor, or counterparty without reviewing it.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • scrape, bulk-download, or resell the programme database;
  • attempt to access another user's account or data;
  • probe, overload, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
  • use the service to break the law or to misrepresent yourself to a government body;
  • submit malware or content you have no right to submit.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or close accounts that do these things, and we may remove content that clearly breaches these terms.

7. Plans and payment

Published ideas and core programme search are free to read. Paid plans, where offered, are described with their price and billing period at the point of purchase, and those details form part of these terms. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Statutory withdrawal and refund rights in your country are unaffected by anything here.

8. Availability

The service is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice to paying subscribers before a change that materially reduces what they paid for.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost funding, or the outcome of any application, visa decision, or business decision you make. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence — and if you are a consumer, your mandatory local rights still apply.

10. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Sections 4, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of governing jurisdiction to be confirmed, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live.

12. Changes and contact

We will update the date above when these terms change, and notify registered users by email before a material change takes effect. Questions: contact email to be confirmed, at legal entity name to be confirmed.
