Daegu CCEI opened 2014-09-15 — the first of the nineteen centres, a full three months before the second. Samsung is its 전담 대기업 and KISED publishes its focus fields as ABB (AI, Bigdata, Blockchain) and 로봇.

All nineteen Centers for Creative Economy and Innovation with the conglomerate assigned to each; seventeen are public centres and Pohang and Bitgaram are the two private ones

The Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation was the first. It opened on 2014-09-15; the next centre, Daejeon, followed on 2014-10-10, and fifteen of the nineteen did not exist until 2015. Situated at the Daegu Samsung Creative Campus, it transforms Daegu's traditional industrial foundation into an automated, high-tech hub.
