Daejeon is a science and technology hub with its own named technopark. The site has carried no dedicated page, while eleven similar region-plus-technopark searches already land page one. Daejeon Technopark's own pages fill that gap with a founding date and a working list of centres.

From a 2002 foundation to a 2008 rename

Daejeon Technopark's own history page records legal incorporation on December 26, 2002. The Ministry of Industry and Resources authorised the foundation that day. Operations began the following month, in January 2003, under the name Daejeon Advanced Industry Promotion Foundation.

The organisation adopted its current name, Daejeon Technopark, on March 1, 2008, after ministry approval. Its site also names the Special Measures Act on Support for Industrial Technology Districts as its legal basis, alongside a Daejeon Metropolitan City ordinance.

Named centres, not one generic building

Daejeon Technopark's own site lists several specialised facilities under its operation. These include D-STATION as its main site, a Smart Manufacturing Innovation Centre and an Intelligent Robot Industrialisation Centre.

It also lists a Bioventure Town and a Functional Nanomaterial Business Support Centre. Each serves a distinct sector, not general office tenancy.

Its history page separately records that the Daedeok Valley Techno Mart facility opened in July 2004, on Techno 9-ro in Yuseong-gu. The organisation's headquarters relocated to D-STATION in December 2019.

Support lines the site describes

Daejeon Technopark's own site lists business support, technology support and marketing assistance among current offerings. It also lists R&D project funding, patent support, equipment rental and meeting-room reservation. It runs recurring "입주기업 모집" (resident-company recruitment) announcements across its specialised zones.

That recruitment structure means tenancy is round-based, not a standing open door. A company applies to a specific announcement for a specific zone. The notice for that round sets the actual eligibility conditions.

Its site also references international trade support and overseas market-entry programmes. It does not state specific terms for a foreign-invested applicant on the pages checked for this post.

Daejeon Technopark's own timeline: 2002 incorporation, 2003 operations, 2008 rename, 2019 headquarters move.
